HERDENKING 100-JARIG BESTAAN
RIJKSCOMMISSIE VOOR GEODESIE
Het 100-jarig bestaan van de Rijkscommissie
voor Geodesie, ingesteld bij Koninklijk Besluit
van 20 februari 1879, zal worden herdacht met
een symposium en aansluitende receptie op 15
maart 1979. Deze manifestatie zal worden ge
houden in het Aula-complex van de Technische
Hogeschool, Mekelweg 1 te Delft.
Het programma is als volgt:
10.00-10.30 ontvangst;
10.30-11.00 opening door de voorzitter van de
commissie, prof. ir. G. J. Bruins;
11.00-12.00 voordracht van prof. dr. P. Mel-
chior (Brussel), getiteld: Inter
relationship between geodesy,
geophysics and astronomy";
12.30-13.30 lunch;
14.00-14.45 voordracht van dr. ir. L. Aardoom
(Delft), getiteld: Selected topics
of satellite geodynamics";
15.00-16.00 voordracht van prof. A. Bjerham-
mar (Stockholm), getiteld: Ma
thematical ties between different
fields in geodesy and geophysics";
16.30-17.30 receptie.
De voordrachten zullen in het Engels worden
gehouden.
Alle belangstellenden worden hierbij van harte
uitgenodigd. Aanmelding kan geschieden door
het invullen en het voor 15 februari a.s. op
zenden van de antwoordkaart, die in dit nummer
is ingevoegd.

european symposium
The 7th European Symposium on Urban Data Management will be held in The Hague,
The Netherlands, Congress Centre, 23 - 27 April 1979.
Papers will deal with organisational, technical and functional aspects of large information
systems. The Symposium is aimed at staff in central and regional government, local
authorities, universities and consultancies affected by and concerned with development
of central, regional and local information systems. These include information scientists,
engineers, planners, administrators and politicians.
The registration fee is Dfl. 675,-, including proceedings, other documentation, trip to
Amsterdam, lunches, coffee and tea. (Without trip to Amsterdam: Dfl. 600,-; without trip
and without lunches: Dfl. 550,-.)
