The Institute concerns itself with international
scientific education, research and consulting in
aerial survey, earth sciences and cartography, in
particular directed towards the needs of
developing countries.
The department of Cartography has a vacancy
for a
whose task will consist of teaching and
research/development in applied methods of
computer-assisted cartography. The function may
also include advisory duties to organisations in
developing countries.
Candidates are required to have:
an academic degree (M.Sc. or equivalent)
proven experience in computer-assisted
cartography/computer graphics including
digital raster techniques
good didactical qualities
proficiency in English.
Candidates are also preferred to have:
experience in cartography
experience with image processing techniques
experience in education.
Salary will be in accordance with the
Netherlands' Governmental scales for university
graduates. The initial gross salary depends on
experience and qualifications and will between
Dfl. 4348,- (minimum) and Dfl. 6500,- (maximum)
per month, excluding allowances.
