CICAT, TU Delft is looking for a suitable candidate, to take up the post of
at the University of Zambia, within the framework of the inter-university linkage-
programme UNZA/DUT/CENG for a period of two years.
The UNZA/DUT/CENG project is financed by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of
the Netherlands government and supports the Surveying Department of the
School of Engineering, at the University of Zambia (UNZA).
The Surveying Department is well equipped, with field-instruments and labora
tories, including a computer-room. Being a small department (about six
members of staff) own initiatives and independence are highly appreciated.
The applicant is asked to lecture the landsurveying courses of the department.
This includes lecturing for about 6 hours a week, plus practicals and fieldwork.
Besides the candidate is supposed to be one of the initiators of the land-
surveying applied research, curriculum development, development of com
prehensive lecturenote books and (landsurveying) consultancy activities.
Requirements MSc (ir.) Surveying,
Fluency in English,
Preferably some years field experience,
Preferably acquaintance with PC and (Surveying-) software.
OfferContract with Delft University of Technology for a period of two years,
January 1991 - January 1993.
Salary according to DUT civil servants, including emoluments for foreign
service, depending on experience.
