Combined adjustment of GPS and
levelling data with SCAN-3
This article describes the processing of a
combined GPS and levelling measure
ment campaign for the purpose of moni
toring landsubsidence. The landsubsi-
dence is caused by extraction of natural
gas in the province of Groningen. Main
objectives of this project were (1) the de
velopment of a strategy for the combined
processing of GPS and levelling data
and (2) to gain the highest possible ac
curacy for height differences measured
with GPS. Furthermoreaspects of the
SCAN-3 adjustment software are des
cribed.
