Commissie 3. Spatial Information Management
Het mission statement van Commissie 3 is:

criterion of succes: to initiate activities so interesting that
colleagues will regard the commission as the principal
source of inspiration in their professional lives.
De commissie heeft drie werkgroepen ingesteld, die zich

ta/information infrastructure", „Spatial information and
knowlegde management: organizational and political ap

Commissie 4. Hydrography
De missie van deze commissie is: „Promote the aims and
objectives of FIG to hydrographers through the active in
volvement of national delegates from member associations
in the activities of the commission and through participa

Commissie 5. Positioning and Measurement
Deze commissie heeft haar missie-statement vertaald naar
vijf acties, en wel:
focus on modern technologies and developments;
focus technical developments through collaboration with
other international organizations;
support research and development and stimulate new
ideas;
collaborate with manufacturers on the improvement of
instrumentation;
present and promote the work of the commission.
Deze commissie is van plan om maar liefst vijf werkgroe
pen te formeren rondom de volgende onderwerpen: „Stan
dards, quality and calibration", „Height determination
techniques", „Kinematic real time positioning", „Digital
mapping" en „Geodetic networks and reference frames".
