The One Stop Shop voor geo-informatievoorziening
DataLand, access to municipalgeo-data
Dutch municipalities 'generate and collect much data that
describe real estate objects. Until now, this data is nearly
impossible to access for third parties, especially at a regional or
national level. DataLand is a new organisation with the goal
to overcome this shortcoming, by providing a nation-wide
channel where standardised municipal geo-data can be ob
tained for a reasonable price. Background, organisational
model, potential markets and contents are described. The
article makes clear that getting the co-operation from alparties
involved is the major task. As soon as that has been achieved, a
bright fiiture shines for DataLand.
