Cartographer Shell Technology Exploration Production, Rijswijk Who are we The Carto/graphics team is part of "Global Dissemination Services" (GDS). This group supports the activities of the Shell Technology Exploration and Production (E&P) organisation in Rijswijk and Houston (US). The GDS group is the centre for processing, management and provision of information, and embraces the Cartographic, DTP/graphics, Report processing, WEB design, Library and Events organising services. The Carto/graphics team is focussed on generating cartographic products and maintaining geo-referenced data (GIS). Besides mapping and drafting tools such as Microstation and Illustrator, there is a strong tendency to make use of an array of GIS applications (ArcGIS and ArclMS), and specialist subsurface mapping tools. With this development and with the Web as the portal to the (map and other) data, the team is currently entering into a vast area of new and interesting professional opportunities. Who are we looking for The Carto/graphics team in Rijswijk is looking for an enthousiastic young Cartographer who wants to be trained in E&P mapping techniques and who is eager to help pioneer the mentioned opportunities. He/she should have a modern relevant education (HBO level). Preference is given to some years of experience. In addition the ideal candidate should have a service minded attitude and be able to work with others in a self-managing team. English should not be a problem.
