Het NEN 3610 Basismodel Geo-informatie legt de basis voor een
stelsel van standaarden voor beschrijvinguitwisseling en inte
gratie van geo-informatie. Dit stelsel wordt steeds meer ingevuld
door operationele, NEN 3610 conforme, sectormodellen. Voor de
sectoren water, cultuurhistorie, topografie en ruimtelijke orde
ning is dat al gebeurd. Voor andere sectoren worden er op dit
moment modellen ontwikkeld. Uitwisseling en integratie van in
formatie tussen sectoren is hierdoor eenvoudiger en efficiënter
geworden. Het Basismodel vormt hiermee één van de componen
ten voor een succesvolle nationale geo-informatie infrastructuur.

The Reference Model for Geo-information (NEN 3610) lays the
foundation for the system of standards for the desciption, ex
change and integration of geo-information. This system is more
and more made up of operational, NEN 3610-conformal models
for specific application fields, for example water management,
cultural history, topography and physical planning. This has fa
cilitated the exhange and integration of information across the
se application fields. This makes the Reference Model for Geo-in
formation a corner stone of a successful national geo-informa

Le NEN 3610 Modèle de base pour la géo-information forme la ba

et Vintégration de géo-information. Le système se développe par
la définition de modèles sectoriels opérationnels conformes a la
norme NEN 3610. Pour les secteurs de Veau, de Vhistoire culturel-
le, de la topographie et de Vaménagement du territoire c'est déjd
le cas. Véchange et Vintégration intersectorielle sont ainsi deve-
nus plus simples et efficaces. Le modèle de base est ainsi une des
