In de inzet is een sterk verkleinde streekplankaart 2007
van de provincie Fryslan te zien. In de kaart daaronder
zijn onder meer de thema's verstedelijking, natuur en
verkeer verwerkt. De uitdaging was om ondanks de grote
hoeveelheid informatie toch een rustige en overzichtelijke
kaart te creëren. Op www.fryslan.nl/streekplan kan de ge
hele kaart als pdf gedownload worden, inclusief legenda.
Daaronder wordt een uitsnede uit de landschapskaart van
dezelfde provincie getoond. Eigenlijk komt deze kaart pas
echt tot zijn recht op een groot oppervlak, omdat dan het
verband tussen landschapsstructuur en reliëf goed kan
worden gelegd. De kaart is een combinatie van het hoogte
bestand AHN en de Topografische Kaart 1:10.000.
The inset shows a highly-reduced region plan map 2007
of the province of Fryslan. The map shows the themes
of urbanization, natural environment and infrastructure.
The challenge was to create a pleasing and clear map des
pite the abundance of information. The PDF file of full map
can be downloaded from www.fryslan.nl/streekplan
At the bottom, a fragment is shown of the landscape map
of the same province. Actually, the map is best presented at
a large surface, because only then you can see the relations
between the structure of the landscape and the underlying
relief. The map combines the Actual Height model of the
Netherlands and the Topographic Base Map 1:10,000.
