Atlas for cultural history
Vanaf de vroegste prehistorie hebben de bewoners van
Overijssel sporen achtergelaten. Het erfgoed vertelt de
geschiedenis van onze omgeving, en veel mensen voelen
een bijzondere band met het erfgoed.
De cultuurhistorische atlas biedt informatie over histori
sche landschapsstructuren, bouwkundige monumenten en
archeologische vindplaatsen - in kaart, foto en toelichting.
De gegevens op de kaart zijn afkomstig van Rijksdienst voor
Archeologie, Cultuurlandschap en Monumenten, stichting
Het Oversticht en de provincie Overijssel. De interactieve
webatlas maakt deel uit van een website waar alles over het
Overijssels erfgoed is te vinden, van historische kaarten tot
genealogie en biografieën van bekende en minder bekende
personen uit heden en verleden. Ook is hier te zien wat de
provincie doet om haar erfgoed te behouden.
From the earliest prehistorie times, the people of the
province of Overijssel have left traces. Heritage tells the
history of our environment and many people feel a special
bonding with this heritage.
The atlas for cultural history gives information about the
historic structures of the landscape, architectural monu
ments and archaeological finds in maps, photos and ex
planatory texts. The data on the map are sourced from the
National Service for Archeology, Cultural Landscape and
Built Heritage, the Oversticht Foundation and the province
of Overijssel. The interactive web atlas is part of a website
about the heritage of Overijssel and information ranges
from historical maps to genealogy and biographies of peop
le from the past and the present. There is also information
about provincial initiatives for the preservation of its heri
tage.
