Dit is een kaart van de voornamelijk militaire, Romeinse
vindplaatsen langs het Nederlandse deel van de Ro
meinse Limes (rijksgrens). De kaart, vervaardigd door de
Rijksdienst voor Archeologie, Cultuurlandschap en Monu
menten, geeft een vogelvluchtperspectief van Nederland
zoals het er in de Romeinse tijd uitgezien kan hebben. De
reconstructie is gebaseerd op de paleogeografische kaarten
van Zagwijn in combinatie met het AHN (Actueel Hoogtebe
stand Nederland).
This is a map of primarily military, Roman excavation si
tes along the Dutch part of the Roman Limes (boundary
of the Empire). The map was created by the National Service
for Archeology, Cultural Landscape and Built Heritage and
gives a bird's eye perspective of the Netherlands in Roman
times. The reconstruction is based on the paleo-geographic
maps of Zagwijn, combined with the Actual Height model
of the Netherlands.
