Lecturer m/f Surveying and Photogrammetry INTERNATIONAL INSTITUTE FOR GEO-INFORMAT!ON SCIENCE AND EARTH OBSERVATION (ITC) With more than 55 years of broad experience and dedicated scientific staff with a diverse range of expertise, the International Institute for Geo-lnformation Science and Earth Observation (ITC), located in Enschede, the Netherlands, is one of the world's foremost international professional education establishments in the field of geo-information science and earth observation. The aim of ITC's activities is the international exchange of knowledge, focusing on capacity building and institutional development in developing countries and emerging economies. The department of Earth Observation Science (EOS) is a multi-disciplinary scientific team, specializing in spatial information extraction and data analysis. It covers mathematics, statistics, physics and information science for earth observation. The department of Earth Observation Science (EOS) of ITC invites qualified persons to apply for the full time position of Main tasks You support and teach modules in photogrammetry and remote sensing at the technician, master and master of science levels of our geoinformatics education. You contribute to the development of educational modules and new educational products. You keep your theoretical and practical expertise up to date, following the development of technology. The focus is on GPS and geometric processing of images from aerial and satellite camera systems; in particular, geodetic and detail surveys with GPS including processing and quality control, aerial triangulation and integrated camera orientation, DTM generation, ortho-image production and texture mapping. Requirements You posses an MSc in photogrammetry and/or remote sensing. You have proven didactic skills and experience in teaching and also affinity with a multi-cultural, post-graduate education environment. Experience in developing and implementing new educational materials in an Erdas/LPS environment is recommended. Willingness to undertake international travel is necessary. Professional experience in GPS, photogrammetry and/or remote sensing is an advantage. The following competences are important: adaptability, communication, presentation skills and results oriented.
