gical Generalised Area Partition' structuur,
waarbij de vlakobjecten van de midden-
schaal gebruikt worden in de gebiedsgeldig
heidscondities voor de grootschalige objec
ten in het aggregatieproces. Het resultaat
bevat zo de nauwkeurige geometrie van de
grootschalige objecten, verrijkt met de gene
ralisatiekennis van de middenschalige gege
vens (in de vorm van verwijzingen binnen
de structuur). De ideeën zijn onderzocht met
topografische gegevens van de gemeenten
Almere en Rotterdam.
Summary
In this article the results of merging
large scale and medium scale topograp
hic data into one structure are presented.
This structure can be used as a single
non-redundant representation for topo
graphic data, which can be queried at any
arbitrary scale (vario-scale) between the
source scales. The solution is based on the
constrained topological Generalised Area
Partition (tGAP) structure, where the area
objects of the medium-scale map function
as region-constraints for the large-scale ob
jects in the aggregation process. The result
contains the accurate geometry of the large
scale objects enriched with the generaliza
tion knowledge of the medium scale data
(stored as references in the structure). The
ideas have been explored with real topo
graphic data of the municipalities of Al
mere and Rotterdam.
Résumé
Cet article présente une recherche oil on in-
tègre des données topographiques a grande
et moyenne échelle en une structure. Cette
structure peut-être utïlisée pour représenter
d'une manière unique et non-redondante
les données topographiques pouvant être in-
