Een veilige kust is van het grootste belang voor Nederland.
Daarom wordt zeer regelmatig de kustlijn door middel van
verticale profielen opgemeten en wordt vervolgens bepaald
waar versterking nodig is. Dit versterken gebeurt veelal door
zandsuppleties op het strand of net onder de waterlijn.
De kaart is gebaseerd op de topografische kaart en toont de
locaties waar zandsuppleties nodig zijn. De beide inzetten tonen
respectievelijk een luchtfoto van het gebied (hierdeVoornse
duinen) en een profiel dat laat zien waar de suppletie gepland is.
A safe coast is of utmost importance for the Netherlands.
To assure a safe coast, vertical profiles along the coastline
are regularly measured. Based on the profiles it is decided where
strengthening is needed. Strengthening is done by sand supple-
tions at the beach or just below the waterline.
The maps are based on a topographic map and show the loca
tions where additional sand suppletions are required. Both details
show an aerial photograph oftheVoorne Duinen and a profile that
indicates where the sand suppletions are planned.
