Luchtfoto-interpretatie. Aanvullend en controlerend veldwerk op werkkaarten 1:5000 (voor
het centrumgebied 1:2500). Daar deze wijze van inventarisatie mede bepaald wordt door de
mogelijkheden van de kartografische weergave, is deze kaart tot stand gekomen door een
nauwe samenwerking tussen kartografen en stedelijke onderzoekers.

De analytische plattegrond toont een overzicht van het gebruik van de ruimte
om een inzicht te geven in de bestaande fysieke struktuur van de stad.
Als zodanig is zij van belang voor onder andere stedebouwkundigen,
gemeentebestuur, inspraakgroepen, projectontwikkelaars.
Van elk gebouw of terrein of (bij grote eenheden) onderdelen daarvan wordt
aangegeven, op welke wijze de begane grond wordt gebruikt, bijvoorbeeld
verkoop-, opslag- of recreatieruimte, los van zijn organisatorische eenheid
(bedrijf, instelling). Op de centrum kaart 1:2500 wordt tevens het gebruik van
de overige verdiepingen (bouwlagen) aangegeven. Op de schaal 1:12 500 is
dit alleen gedaan bij gebouwen met meer dan 4 bouwlagen. Het dominante
gebruik naar oppervlak is doorslaggevend bij het classificeren van gemengd
gebruik.

The actual space use isshown on this analytical map toprovidean overall view of
the existingphysicalstructure ofthe city. Itserves, e.g. urban planners, municipal
decision makers, publicparticipation groups, project developers.

On the 1:2500 urban centre map, the use of all floors is shown. Atthe scale 1:12 500
thisis done only for buildings over 4 storeys high. Only the predominant use (by
floor area) is classified in the case ofmixed uses.
