□ÜC3 PROFESSOR IN CARTOGRAPHY INTERNATIONAL INSTITUTE FOR AEROSPACE SURVEY AND EARTHSCIENCES The ITC is concemed with international scientific educa- tion, research and Consulting in aerial photography and telede- tection, photogrammetry, aerospace survey application in landresources studies, agricul- ture, earth sciences, human Settlements, geo-data processing and cartography, in particular directed towards the needs of developing countries. Due to the planned departure of the present Professor to his parent University, applications are invited for the post of Tasksl assignments: to steer the applied scientific research Programme of the Department of Cartography and participate in this research to carry out a part of the educational tasks of the Department to act as Director of Studies for the MSc-programme in Cartography to act as a Supervisor for Ph.D.-dissertations and MSc- thesis if needed, to act as Consultant in mapping projects abroad, particularly in developing countries. The succesful candidate should have: a Ph.D. or proven equivalent research experience in carto graphy and a record of publi- cations of internationally acknowledged quality teaching experience and proven didactical abilities wide general knowledge of cartography, particularly of its applied aspects knowledge of computer- assisted cartography and related techniques proven managerial qualities proven interest in the mapping aspects of developing countries proficiency in the English language (föreign applicants should express their willingness to learn the Dutch language) capability of liasing with other disciplines inside and outside ITC, related to the Institute's fields of interest.
