It consists of infrastructural Information such as national and subnational boundaries, main roads, rivers and railroads. This poster was prepared in an entirely digital Workflow, from the conceptual design on an INTERGRAPH 6240 Workstation to the final production on an Optronics Scanner/film recorder. The following INTERGRAPH Software was used MGE Imager for image processing and GIS manipulations in an integrated raster/vector environment MicroStation 32 for computer-aided poster design and lay-out Map Publisher for producing colour separations and screens for plotting Up-to-date information about the environment is crucialfor the planning and management of natural resources. Raster data from satellites and aerial photographs is a major source of environmental information. Vector data is one of the preferred ways for storage, manipulation and intelligent modelling of spatial information. The INTERGRAPH Modular GIS Environment (MGE) provides advanced tools to manipulate these and all other types ofdata that are used in GIS workflows: MGE SX Analyst Dynamic Analyst Network Analyst Grid Analyst Imager Modeler Finisher Map Publisher l/modules EP/modules In /modules the platform product for spatial analyses for dynamic spatial analyses for network GIS manipulations for raster GIS manipulations for image processing for terrain modeling for design and lay-out of maps for cartographic map Output for scanning and vectorization for geological workflows for engineering workflows MGE is firmly based on MicroStation, INTERGRAPH's populär graphics platform, and on several widely used relational databases. The satellite image shown is from the NOAA AVHRR sensor Advanced Very High Resolution RadiometerThis sensor produces images with a 1 km resolution of the whole world, in five spectral bands, four times per day. The virtually cloudfree mosaic of Europe that is shown, is composed of bands in the Visual, near-infrared and thermal-infrared wavelength, with blue-masked water. coastline, lakes rivers national boundaries main roads Intergraph Offices pasture agricultural land bare land /desert pine forest deciduous forest mountains mountains with snow cover cities clouds 600 700 km For more information you can contact one of the following INTERGRAPH OFFICES Corporate Headquarters Intergraph Corporation One Madison Industrial Park Huntsville, Alabama 35807-4201 tel. 1 205-772.200 European Headquarters Wijkermeerstraat 35 2131 HB Hoofddorp, the Netherlands tel. 31 2503-66333 fax. 31 2503-55414 Austria tel. 43 222-505.52080 Belgium tel. 32 2-526.2111 Czecho-Slovakia tel. 42 2-530.337 Denmark tel. 45 36-445.888 Finland tel. 35 80-455.4744 France tel. 33 1-456.03000 Germany tel. 49 89-461.040 Hungary tel. 31 2503-66520 Italy tel. 39 2-824.3943 The Netherlands tel. 31 2977-545.00 Norway tel. 47 2-848.240 Poland tel. 31 2503-66520 Portugal tel. 35 11-726.9883 Spain tel. 34 1-372.8017 Sweden tel. 46 8-920.740 Switzerland tel. 41 1-302.5202 United Kingdom tel. 44 793-619.999 Middle EastIndia tel. 357 41-28700 Greece tel. 357 41-28700 Asia Pacific area tel. 852 5-866.1966 Canada tel. 1 403-250.6100 Production Intergraph EHQ 1991 Copyright 1991 Intergraph Corporation NOM mosaic, courtesy ofNLR /NRSC 0 World MicroStation is a trademark of Bentley Systems Inc., an Intergraph affiliate.
