(Postbus 6, 7500 AA Enschede, tel. 053-874475).
Zij schreef dit artikel op verzoek van de redactie op basis en
naar aanleiding van de voltooiing en succesvolle verdediging
van haar proefschrift getiteld: Determining and processing
quality Parameters in Geographie Information Systems. In
1991 behaalde zij daarmee haar Ph.D.-graad aan de Universi-
teit van Newcastle upon Tyne.
