graphique pour les ordinateurs MS-DOS: possibilite
d'application en cartographie
L 'ordinateur Apple Macintosh avec son logiciel FreeHand est
bien connu aux cartographes, ce qui n 'est pas le cas quant aux
possibilites offertes pour les ordinateurs MS-DOS. Par
l'introduction de 'MS Windows 3.0', un logiciel de dessin
graphique est mis la disposition des cartographes dont
l'article analyse trois versions de 'packages': Arts Letters,
Corel Draw! et Designer comportant toutes les outils
elementaires pour dessin, redaction et Impression. En outre,
Arts Letters fourmit des outils appropriespour ia composi-
tion des textes et le dessin de cartogrammes. Coral Draw! teint
compte largement des besoins des utilisateurs, son emploi
connait cependant quelques restrictions. Enfin, Designer
presente encore d'autres outils CAD, par exemple pour le
dessin des courbes de niveau.
L 'article est le resume d'un rapport presente en matiere de
levee et de cartographie l'Ecole Polytechnique d'Utrecht.
