The first socio-economic atlas of the Dutch province
Fryslän/Friesland is the author's private initiative. By treating
subjects from politics and economics in Fryslän, an atlas has
been created that should serve the information needs of civil
servants, managers and anyone who is engaged in Fryslän's
socio-economic life. The author has usedpublic sources, like re-
ports from the census bureau CBS. Although choropleth maps
make up the majority of maps in the atlas, special attention is
paid to include other map types as well. The extensive bilingu
al Frisian-Dutch text opens a wider access to everyday reality
in the province.

Le premier atlas socio-economique de la province neerlandaise
de Frise (Fryslän/Friesland) est une initiative privee de l'au-

La majorite des cartes sont des chorople-
tes, mais figurent dans l'atlas des cartes
d'autres types egalement. Le texte est lar-
gement bilingue (Frison/Neerlandais) se
qui tient compte des realites de tous les
jours de la province.
