TOPiovector, the digital topographic database at scale 1:10,000
of The Netherlands, has been finalized. For users, it is of the
utmost importance that the database will be revised on a regu
lär basis. From ippy onwards, the revision cycle will be a four
year cycle. In addition, the Topografische Dienst Nederland
(tdn) is looking at opportunities to shorten the revision cycle
by carrying out an intermediate revision. Strategie alliances
with other data producers can be made or new technologies
can be implemented. At this moment, promising research is be-
ing carried out to update TOPiovector using the Large Scale
Base Map ofThe Netherlands (gbkn). The intermediate revi
sion will only concern important topographic objects. Current
quality Standards will apply to changes in the database.

quadri-annuel; de plus, le Service Topographique des Pays-Bas
(tdn) souhaiterait raccourcir ce delais par des revisions in-
termediaires, realiser en Cooperation avec d'autres produc-
teurs de base de donnees ou par l'emploi de nouvelles technolo
gies. A l'heure actuelle des recherchesprometteuses sont en cours
pour la mise äjour de TOPiovector en utilisant la gbkn (carte
de base des Pays-Bas gande echelle). La revision interme-
diaire concerne uniquement des objects topographiques impor-
tants. Les definitions qualitatives Standard seront utilisees pour
adapter la base de donnees.
