KARTOGRAFISCH TIJDSCHRIFT
bovengenoemde ingredienten bevatten (afleiden, reduceren,

1. camotius (Cartography-Assisted Monitoring - Towards an Interac

Summary
F.J.M. van der Wel - How a cartographer deals with the rising
data tide
Keywords: remote sensing, management and use of geo
graphical information, research
The flow of spatial data is still increasing, mostly as a result of re-
motely sensed data from satellite systems. Classification of these
data into land cover maps is ofien attended by the introduetion
and propagation of errors and uncertainties. This paper is an in-
troduetory text dealing with the problems that are faced now that
more data are becoming accessible to more people. Besides, it will
briefly elucidate some of the approaches that enable sound deci-
sion-making, despite the huge data flow.
sibilite accrue desdites donnees.
