Trigonometrical Surveyors
Position no. 195
Applications are invited from persons with experience in one or more fields of
surveying viz. geodetic, topographic, engineering and cadastral, for positions as
Trigonometrical Surveyors, Central Mapping Authority, New South Wales.
The Authority is the official map producing agency of the State of New South
Wales and is in addition responsible for its geodetic and topographic survey
framework.
Applicants are required to hold a recognised degree or diploma in surveying, or
be registered as land surveyors in an Australian State or New Zealand, or have
successfully completed final R.I.C.S. examinations in an appropriate division.
Salary within the range $6434 to $9703 per annum, with progress beyond
8768 subject to certain conditions, is currently under review.
The Authority is sited in Sydney but due to be re-located at Bathurst 130 miles to
the West, in December 1975.
Duty is State-wide.
