It is clear that this accuracy can hardly be reached with respect to
the resolving power of the at present available emulsions, not to speak
about the other factors that may diminish the precision of this mani
pulation.
There may therefore safely be concluded that also in this respect
the radial-triangulator in the present construction is certainly ad
equately accurate.
Conclusion.
In this paper the instrumental sources of errors, that may occur with
radial-triangulation are submitted to a careful examination.
The photogrammetric and physiologic influences that have in
fluence on the accuracy are purposely not taken into account.
From the obtained results may be concluded that from an instru
mental point of^ view the radial-triangulator containes no sources
of errors that will have a noticeable influence on the accuracy if the
right measuring method is chosen.

Moderne Britse kartografie
De officiële Britse kartografie heeft in de laatste tien jaren een
grote vernieuwing ondergaan. Vernieuwing is echter betrekkelijkwat
in Engeland een vernieuwing is, is voor ons begrip vaak een aanpassen
aan toestanden, zoals die in andere landen al eerder bestonden. Toch
betekent dat voor Engeland al een hele stapinderdaad is een groot
stuk traditie hierbij overboord gezet.
De oorlog hielp hier in zoverre mee, dat reeds in 1940 het gebouw
van de Ordnance Survey in Southampton getroffen werd, waarbij
alle oude negatieven verloren gingen. De dienst werd overgebracht
naar tijdelijke behuizingen, die in de vorm van stenen barakken in
