The growth of populationshould national policies favour concentration or dispersal of communities. Papers may be submitted by surveyors of any country of the world. They must be original works (not previously published) and should be between 3,000 and 5,000 words in length. Papers must be submitted in the English, French or German language, must be typewritten on one side only, and of an adequate literary and grammatical standard. Three copies must be sent, by not later than 31 st December 1967, to the National Surveying Association of the country in which the author is resident. Papers which are approved by the National Association will be sent to the Secretary-General of the International Federation by not later than 29th February, 1968. No paper can be considered for the Prize if received by the Secretary-General after that date. Each paper must be accompanied by a form of entry signed by the author, certifying that the paper is an original work by himself, and confirming that if the author is awarded the prize his paper can be published by the Federation as part of the Congress proceedings. The successful author will be invited to present his paper at a session of the Congress in London, and the prize will be presented to the author during the Congress. The adjudication of papers will be made by the Bureau of the International Federation of Surveyors, who may act on such advice as they may deem to be necessary. Examens N.L.F.
